CareerEdge has partnered with many local manufacturing employers to help connect and train talent and to close skills gaps. The industry has seen much improvement from these efforts and is still continuing to grow in our region. At the end of 2017, manufacturers employed over 17,000 employees locally, a 3% increase from 2016, with an average annual wage of $51,950 last year.

This week the Executive Director of CareerEdge, Mireya Eavey, co-wrote a column in the Sarasota Herald Tribune about the Earned Income Tax Credit. United Way Suncoast helps low-income families with tax preparation and receiving earned income tax credit. Through the Volunteer Tax Assitance Program (VITA), CareerEdge and United Way Suncoast are able to help our industry partners and their families during tax season.
