Tuition – Free Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training – Applications OPEN
The Certified Nursing Assistant program is designed to prepare students for entry-level nursing work to care for patients in a variety of environments. The courses promote a greater understanding of one’s patients and allow the nurse aide to function more fully as a member of a health care team.
This 120-hour program prepares students to work in a hospital, skilled nursing facility and/or private duty setting. This program is taught with a combination of lecture, hands-on practical lab exercises, and real-world clinical experience conducted off-campus at an actual nursing/rehab facility. You will receive education on standard and universal health care precautions, basic therapeutic communication techniques, English and math skills, customer service, and patient care skills delivery with safety.
The Meridian West Central College Certified Nursing Assistant program is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing and licensed by the Commission for Independent Education. The Florida Board of Nursing requires you to sit for the Florida Nurse Aide Exam through Prometric.
