EMPLOYERS
Funding will be awarded once the internship experience is approved prior to the internship beginning and all feedback forms have been received at the end of the internship experience, including proof of wages. Wage reimbursement is based upon available resources and meeting employer requirements.
EMPLOYER REQUIREMENTS
Application requirements for Employers:
This is not an internship referral service; employers are responsible for identifying and selecting their own interns.
- Employer must be located in Manatee or Sarasota County.
- Employer must pay a minimum of $13.00/hour to participating interns.
- Employer must receive an email approval from CareerEdge prior to the internship beginning for the wage reimbursement.
- Employer agrees to provide a meaningful, skills-based internship experience.
- A maximum of two internship reimbursements allowed per organization per calendar year.
- Employer must fall into one of the following industry categories:
- Manufacturing
- Healthcare
- Insurance
- Skill Trades
- Automotive
INTERNS

- Intern must be U.S. citizens or be eligible to work in the U.S. and be 18 years or older.
- Internship must fall into one of the following industry categories:
- Manufacturing
- Healthcare
- Insurance
- Skill Trades in Construction
- Automotive
- Intern must fill out a feedback form when the internship has completed.
This work experience and internship reimbursement program is made possible through grants from Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation and the Gulf Coast Community Foundation. CareerEdge was awarded this funding to help close the industry skill gaps in the region, and to address the lack of tangible work experience many individuals face.
